founded by Shelina } a mother, community gardener, and advocate for slow, nature-led wellbeing.

Little Babaru is a gentle, nature-led wellbeing space founded by a mother and community gardener, Shelina. The name “little babaru” comes from my own sons, capturing the spirit of childhood curiosity, playfulness, and growth.

Little Babaru was born during the COVID years, a time when many mothers were isolated and searching for calm, connection, and meaningful ways to care for themselves and their children. From these beginnings, it has grown into a space that supports families in reconnecting with themselves, each other, and the natural world around them.

Rooted in nature, slow living, and everyday ritual, little babaru encourages children’s emotional and mental wellbeing through mindfulness, outdoor connection, and sensory play. Families are gently guided to spend time in nature, nurture the soil and plants in the allotment, and share moments of presence together.

Alongside this, little babaru shares seasonal recipes inspired by allotment gardening, helping families enjoy nourishing, creative meals, and offers small self-care rituals that fit gently into everyday family life. This is not about perfection — it’s about cultivating steadiness, warmth, and care in ordinary, lived moments.
