maternal identity

It wasn’t until I had little babaru {s} that I realised how hard it was for my mother to juggle everything she had to do, and how well she did it.

All mothering is intergenerational: for better and for worse, our maternal identity is founded in our mother’s style, becoming a mother gives me a beautiful {and sometimes painful} opportunity for how to do it again. In a way, i get to re-experience my own childhood in the act of parenting, repeating what was good, while trying to improve upon what i think i can do better…

I’m always learning, adapting and being inspired by others.

Regardless, still hanging in there like these petals on this beautiful flower :)
