share {share alike}

I strongly believe in sharing and giving, from old baby to maternity clothes to toys, I got so much gifted or given I felt the need to share and borrow where needed {especially like a walking chair when needed for 2months or so}, always nice to use the concept of recycle, reuse or re-gift. As well it is a great way to de-clutter my home and clear some space for the next development of little babaru stage.

More importantly you need a mama friend who is understanding, welcoming and supportive. I noticed over the years it can be lonely feeling like why have they not invited me to the park, it all does not matter those who want to will, and I want to be friends with the right mama energy too. I always want mamas who can be alike and different to my mama style so we can learn from one another. Beside a friend that is go with the flow {flexible and not so textbook} one who understands if you can’t make the plans as it’s a last minute change or replies when they are free. I want mamas who can chat and laugh about life beyond baby. Can’t forget ourselves, let’s talk about sex? Well, let’s face it, who else than a mama friend can ask slightly embarrassing questions? How long after childbirth? Did it feel different? And how did we manage with baby sleeping and so forth…all these desperate questions we all would love to talk about – nothing is out of bounds.

Beside all this, there are hard times during parenting – or on the road to parenting, so much can happen from miscarriage to postnatal depression or relationship challenges. For better or for worse, in sickness and health, my mama friends really, are the ones who have been there for me so I’m very grateful to have a supporting network of love and warmth just being there for me over a good cup of coffee.
